A compelling performer known for life-affirming songs that illuminate the beauty and meaning of everyday life experience, Lynn Harrison recently released her fourth CD, “Simplicity” in 2008 following “Lynoleum” (2001), “Learning Curve” (2003) and “Broadview” (2005).
Born in Dallas, raised in Winnipeg and living in Toronto, Lynn has earned songwriting honours from the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals’ Songs from the Heart, Unisong and many other song contests, and recently was named a Top 10 Finalist (with co-writer David Leask) in the Toronto Song Contest.
As songwriter-in-residence for “Take5” on CIUT 89.5 fm, Lynn wrote more than 70 new songs (2006 - 2009). She has also been featured on CBC Radio (“Fresh Air”, “Sounds Like Canada”.) Equally at home on festival stages (Stan Rogers, Winterfolk, Toronto City Roots), in intimate club environments and community settings, Lynn Harrison is an open-hearted, captivating and inspiring artist.
